Advisory

I offer one-to-one advisory sessions across the two areas I work in most: platform & product strategy, and digital identity & access management. These are focused working sessions — you bring a real decision, architecture, or problem, and you leave with a clear, opinionated answer and next steps.

Sessions are online, 60 minutes, and run in English or Portuguese.

Digital identity & access management

For teams building or buying identity, authentication, or verifiable-credential capabilities, who want someone who understands both the standards and the product decisions around them.

Typical things people bring:

  • Making sense of eIDAS 2.0 / the EUDI Wallet and what it means for your product
  • Verifiable credentials and the OID4VCI / OID4VP flows — and whether they fit your use case
  • OAuth 2.x / OpenID Connect architecture and authorization design decisions
  • Identity verification / KYC product trade-offs
  • Translating identity standards into something your product and engineering teams can act on

This draws on teaching Identity & Access Management at master’s level at Universidade Lusófona, prior identity-verification and authorization product work (including at Onfido), and active engagement with eIDAS / EUDI / age verification policy. (Note: this is independent advisory work, separate from my current role.)

Fee: €400 (+ any applicable VAT) for 60 minutes.

Founding rate: the first few sessions are available at €250 in exchange for a short testimonial. Once those are booked, the rate is €400.

Platform & product strategy

For founders, product managers, and product leaders working on platform, marketplace, or API-led products — especially pre-product-market-fit, or taking an existing platform into a new chapter.

Typical things people bring:

  • Whether (and how) to turn a product into a platform, and what that actually requires
  • Positioning, roadmap, and success metrics for a platform or API offering
  • Multi-sided / marketplace dynamics, and where the chicken-and-egg risk really sits
  • Pricing and monetisation strategy for platform and API products
  • Senior PM career questions — operating at Principal level, scope, and promotion readiness

This draws on my book, The Platform Business Strategy, and 11+ years in B2B and platform product management across Viator/Tripadvisor, Remote, Farfetch, and Onfido.

Fee: €150 (+ any applicable VAT) for 60 minutes.
